My fiance has BPD - and I am struggling a lot.  At first when he was diagnosed, things improved significantly.  He was interested in DBT and did a workbook everyday; he went to therapy; and he tried a lot.  Since then, he has been gradually slipping.  Back into different types of very unexpected reckless behavior, mood swings that are like a roller coaster, and lots of episodes.  When he has an episode, he does a lot of splitting and everything is my fault (not in an overt way but a subtle, indirect blame kind of way).  His grip on reality slips and I start to feel crazy after a while.  His made up world becomes his reality and then I start to question if I am right about what is even real.  Example, he is jealous and harps on previous relationships, which he has fabricated stories about.  After a while of talking to him, I start to think his version of the events is real!  Even though I LIVED it.  I am getting to where I am not sure what to do or how to handle anything anymore.  He keeps saying that he knows everything is his fault, etc; but subtly, he adds in subtext that it's more my fault because I trigger him.  I genuinely love him, but he is making me crazy I think.  It's been 4 months since he was diagnosed.
