Some experts are predicting that this can be a limited to a 6-8 event if we all take precautions.

What precautions are you taking? What precautions do you think are over the top? How are others around you reacting?

We were just beginning a vacation when the confirmations started among the hardest hit states. We spent 10 days with significantly fewer crowds than we usually see -- plus entire empty rows on airplanes.

I am typically a "clean your area" traveler, was even more assiduous this time -- wiped down the plane trays, seatbelt buckle, etc. and then the hotel faucets, remote, doorknobs. However, we have no more plans to travel any time soon.

Our state is recommending no gatherings of 50 or more. My mom's church will probably move services online. I expect this to curtail her social life -- church is where she sees her friends.

We have a family funeral on Saturday -- it will be a limited visitation just prior to graveside services.

Our spring progressive dinner/gathering in the neighborhood (140 homes) has been cancelled. Schools are out from Wednesday til after Easter.

In short, I expect precautions to be a part of most decisions made about daily life from now until the virus confirmations have passed the "curve." With DH and I ages 6 6 and 70, and my mom 93, we will be limiting outside contact. DH works from a home office anyway, and I am retired. My spring garden will look good!
