Hi! Brand new here. Was advised by my counselor to look into this group. Hope to learn more through experiences and insights of others in our similar boat. Several counselors we’ve seen or consulted have suggested my husbands ex wife has BPD but this is not diagnosed to our knowledge. It’s a tough spot because we agree that many of the hallmarks are there but the likelihood of a formal diagnosis is slim. We need to learn coping skills to work with what we experience. It’s very disruptive to our lives but I’m confident there are ways we can begin to limit that disruption. We do not engage in her outbursts nor to her angry or attention seeking texting but occasionally there is legally appropriate, necessary communication needed related to her children so he puts that in emails. And as tough as it is for us, that doesn’t compare to what the children experience.
