I am going to put this out there. In my opinion, one of the worse type of persons to get involved with is a person who has bpd, and knows how to play the victim in order to get revenge on the current partner who brought on all the grief and terror to their life.
I used to keep my mouth closed and not argue back to my ex who has bpd. However, after I felt trampled on, I began to stand up for myself. Each time that I did, she called the police. Although no charges were ever filed, she had no problem calling 911. Eventually, the police were aware of her illness, and playing the victim. I then took the approach of having a crash bag ready. It was loaded with spare clothes, and a few other things in case I felt an argument brewing. In return, she began to accuse me of causing the arguments just so that I could be with another woman. The whole relationship with the bpd ex was like walking on eggshells. Eventually, I had to file a restraining order and take charge. Although the right move, I felt bad. The only thing that made me feel better is knowing that I was not the first. After searching through court docs that she left behind, I learned that other guys went through the same ordeal, and that her pattern was the same. Play the victim during and after the breakup, then get protection orders against them as a revenge plot for causing her pain. These guys lost their guns, jobs, and reputation. I thank my lucky stars that I got rid of her from my house and life. If any body thinks that a bpd relationship is chaotic, toss in the victim mentality and the dynamics of cold revenge from a borderline comes into play.
