I haven't posted for quite some time but I come to the site often - just to feel linked to others who are going through the same experience. It really helps. I am in Australia and noticed in a reply that Vivek  was in Aus? But might have read it incorrectly. Anyway am wondering if anyone knows of residential facilities  in Aust for BPD sufferers?

Greetings Sancho,

Glad to know that you have been reading and lurking ... .even if it is from the shadows Laugh out loud (click to insert in post)

You are correct that Vivek  is an Aussie... .we also have a few other members from down under.

Have you googled "Residential treatment for BPD in Australia"?

You will find a lot of information that will need vetting if you do.

Often times one site or link leads to another and so it goes.

Sharing what we find is what we do in this community.  Helping one another also helps self.

Remind us... .how old is your child w/BPD?  Son or daughter?

Look forward to having you here with us.

Thanks for the reply. SD is 22 now, has not attempted sucide but hospitalised twice. Meds help but she goes off them - prefers self medicating with mj. The impulsivenss is difficult to deal with. You never know what is going to crop up from day to day - even within just one day. Christmas a diaster again, but at least I've made up my mind I won't do that again. I'll find another way to celbrate. Yes this site has been a life line. At my most down, its where I go, and I always feel connected and supported just reading others posts.
