My dd31 is fresh out of rehab, her kids are all in the care of family members and has moved into the home of a new fellow. I spoke to her on the phone last night and she seems giddy with her new found happiness.

I jokingly called her a cougar, as this guy is 7 years her junior. She really liked that. She told me she thought I would be mad at her, because everyone else is. ( Quite understandably too. Her ex-H is worn from the parental responsibility of the two older kids, and her ex-SO still loves her and wants her back desperately)

I just said, "I'm happy that you are happy and glad that you have a roof over your head." Which is somewhat the truth. I just know that if I make my  feelings or my opinions, about the whole situation known to her, she will go NC with me as she begins her new life with this guy.

True feelings are: 'Oh great. Another icky person I have to get to know and pretend to like. Or worse, come to like and have to watch him get put through the BPD grinder'. I hope this doesn't last long enough for her to shatter yet another promising life.
