BPD is ADD of the emotions

My childhood friend I have be close with for decades came to visit because her 20 year marriage fell apart. She has got severe attachment issues and is total textbook BPD.
She is very bright, strong, raised 6 kids, and built herself up from nothing. But she has severe interpersonal issue due to severe abuse and absolutely has NO CONSCIOUS AWARENESS OF SELF.
I sat with her has she wept and raged nonstop for 12 hours. We sat together and just felt the emotions, and I would try to stem the adrenaline fight of flight, which I believe is the core issue. When she gets like this, bizarre lashing out Jerry springer behaviors ensue.
The mistakes she made paled in comparison to her husbands. His was premeditated. Her was disorganized and stimulus dependent. Like attentional deficits. Sociopaths really feed off of someone so vulnerable.
She was nuts. Her emotions switched many, meny times. She was not able to process one emotional thought without another trauma thought coming in.
Marsha linhan was right. This is incomplete greiving. This is emotional ADD.

I don't think I could handle 12 hours of that. I would gently push getting medical help.
