Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse

Just got test results back from the doctor... .  because of her actions, I get to live with herpes the rest of my life... .  

Yes, you heard it correctly, she has infected me with herpes. FML

Herpes is something my W brought with her to our relationship - albeit under different circumstances - she is a carrier that doesn't express any symptoms - something she doesn't accept - she won't read or won't admit reading about herpes. In her mind I had to have cheated on her. I didn't.

I only share that I share your affliction because I hope I can maybe help you process this news.  Its not the end of the world - herpes is pretty common. Make sure you take an antiviral - it really helps minimize the symptoms. But yeah, you are stuck with it. And it's  now another factor in your relationship. If you are thinking of leaving - you now have a legacy that you will have to deal with in future relationships - and that affects your thinking about your current one.

I'm here to work through the distress of this news as needed.

I appreciate all of you... .  I am just have a very hard time with all of it. From uncovering the multiple affairs to now living with herpes, it's very overwhelming

I am still in the house until our first court date on the 18th for the divorce, I also have the kids and would like to believe they will want to stay with me but preparing myself for the worse.

Sad, she is barely communicating with the kids. She ran away (what I now see as her MO in life) to her sisters two weeks ago when I started to uncover her infidelity... .  she has called the kids twice (2-3 minute calls) and texted maybe 6-7 times.

What a nightmare this is and will continue to be. I will (and have to) survive so I can ensure my kids are taken care of.
