I have been taking a break

I am sorry I have no been online after finally finding my daughter and her being safe and secure in the hospital my body crashed. I am still sick, but I had the worst flu I have ever experienced and now have bronchitis. The one thing I have an update on is my daughter disposition hearing for ecorrigibility happened on Thursday and the courts deemed her a ward of the state. It is a scary thing because I just do not understand everything that is going on... . I am told it is a good thing, I do know that my daughter will be going into a "secure" facility once she is released from the hospital. I am feeling really emotionally worn down, sad and lost... .

Hi StrugglingMom76
I am glad you are feeling up enough to post at all. Rest. Try to get antibiotics or what you need to recover before you try to mentally tackle or process the past few months of your life. The flu was fierce this year. My entire family was hit pretty bad back in December.
I really know little about the process your D is going through. Is there someone who can explain it better to help ease your worries a bit ?
For now, take comfort that you are safe and so is she.
Please know we are here for you when you feel up to post again.

I am sure you are feeling a lot of things... . especially being sick... . you might not be up for much never mine having your daughter in the hospital... . take some time for yourself now... . rest... . get stronger and then you will be able to take in what has happened. It does sound good and scary all at the same time but you have given up control.
I am hoping this is the beginning of your daughter getting the help she needs... .

Strugglingmom
Glad to hear from you. Been worried about you.
Yes, I do the exact same thing... . get through the REALLY difficult stuff, and when things calm down, I get physically sick, really sick. Who has time to go into meltdown in the middle of a crisis? It is a delayed reaction to stress... . at least for me.
Your dd, being a Ward of the State, will get her the help she needs in a controlled setting. It is a good thing, and it will improve the quality of life for you and your son as well. You have done so
much to try to help her, and now it is time to let someone else share the burden.
Keep us posted, and take care of yourself. Once you sort through things and regain your health,
life will look brighter.
Now, take your meds and go to bed... .
