CL I'm not sure what cold reading is or do you want some recommendations for the most helpful reading resources?

I believe i read where pwBPD develop an ability to read  a room or environment in a second. Since I read this I have been watching my husband closely in different situations and I am noticing things that are quick and subtle yet not something I have ever even though about. I want to find out more about it. The better I can see signs and predict a problem, the better and safer i will be.

My experience has been a lot of that reading a room was based on hypersensitive feelings or perceptions not quite based on actual events.  Lots of paranoia and fear based judgments.  I wouldn't rely on his read too much.

Developing yours can help though.  Looking at your boundaries and communication skills from the stayig board lessons are a good start.  Have you seen those?
