Our objective is to better understand the struggles our child faces and to learn the skills to improve our relationship and provide a supportive environment and also improve on our own emotional responses, attitudes and effectiveness as a family leaders

Absolutely!  Happy Mother's Day!  Today my teen said, "I don't have to buy you anything for Mother's Day at the store.  I was born.  That was my gift."    And my husband has been so wrapped up with her issues    that he said he got me a card but hasn't planned anything and no gift.  So I am going to buy myself some flowers to plant in the yard tomorrow.  Happy Mother's Day to me, from me!

Indeed! We know who we are, we know what we've sacrificed, we know how hard it is

and WE ROCK! I like the idea of planting flowers and treating ourselves - I will do same.

It is so hard every year watching all the cars and families arrive at neighbors up and down my

street - family bar b q's, laughter, children, happiness as I sit alone... .

Yet I REFUSE to let this ruin my day - I wish I could host a special Mother's Day party

for ALL OF US parents of BPD's - maybe some day we can all meet up and have a big

party :-)
