Last Saturday SD came to the house after talking with my wife for a few hours I came down from my shop and we had a productive discussion. The sticking point had been an issue over my work truck being vandalized 5 years ago tires slashed and paint keyed.

She finally talked about what happened and what she felt, there was no yelling or screaming and no phony apology just a discussion, this had been a sticking point on moving forward for a long time.

Wife was a wonderful moderator as well as participant of the discussion, SD is in financial straits right now so we loaned enough for her lapsed car insurance, she got a job so we may loan more with a signed agreement on payback that was all agreeable at the time but we will see what happens, she was in a nice non manic mood at the time.

This was a major step for us I hope she can keep it together for a while and get caught up.

Dear Sstepdad

I am glad you both could get through that discussion and find some understanding for each other.

Did you use any of the tool for communication that you read here? Why do you think your discussion went so well? I am happy for you all... . Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)
