... ."but I can certainly catch my breath long enough to yell

at you".

After a fight, me sleeping in other room, my dBPDw cries for 7 hours straight. It's nearly time to get up and get daughter off to school for her first day, so I come back in. She's making the most dramatic fake crying ever. Then starts talking about how she can't feel one side of her body and then the other.

And it's so bad, so medically real that as soon as I say something she doesn't like, she immediately starts, with perfect breathing, getting all over me.

Am I supposed to respond to this fake nonsense with support? Am I supposed to pretend that she's really "sick" and then just put up with whatever she wants to dish because she has a "valid" excuse to do so?

First you should try to stop the fighting. I know it has helped me. Validation. The crying starts out fake may end up real. They are hurting inside because of percieved offenses. Things that roll off other people like water off a duck.

Good luck to you and D.
