SSI/ SSDI thought?

I've been thinking,after hours of reading... .My daughter, 27 totally dependent on us for everything. Has never been able to keep a job- quit many certificat community college programs as well.period.

She is in a program Dars,( Learning disabilities)that will try to help job coach her and find her something 6 mos no luck...

Bpd,Anxiety,PTSD,Double depression.

Social anxiety has worsened over the last two years since divorcing and returning home. 

List goes on and on.

Learning disabilities- Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia,Dysgraphia,comprehension level is low IQ is borderline ave.

Immaturity is a huge factor.

Her emotional state makes me wonder IF she got/ kept a min wage job even p/t which her latest testing only recommends she couldn't be self sufficient-

Is this even an option worth checking into?

Our objective is to better understand the struggles our child faces and to learn the skills to improve our relationship and provide a supportive environment and also improve on our own emotional responses, attitudes and effectiveness as a family leaders

My 14yo has BPD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, POTS and joint hypermobility.  I am applying for SSI/SSDI for her.  I figured it wouldn't hurt.  I can't work because of her issues and we need some kind of extra income.

Never hurts to try!  I've heard that there are a lot of people who are applying now for kids who only have ADD/ADHD.  I'm not judging, but if they can get it, I think my daughter surely could!

We are depleting all of our resources now it cost a lot to care for another person totally with no help.idk

I've wondered about this too.  She can't even handle going to school, I don't a job is going to happen.  Plus all the therapy, all the appointments... .I'm really interested to find out if anyone has been successful in this.

It seriously makes me concerned- her dad and I are 50 what will happen to her when we aren't able to work and provide?

She's never been able to hold a job, finish a program, she was enrolled in phlebotomy, CNA , OTA, couldn't complete any...

We pay all her bills as she lives here. I swear if the disability office would spend a few hours with her they would stamp APPROVED for sure.

This is how the mentally I'll wind up in shelters or on the streets,

Lack of resources. When we run out idk what will happen... .

It would be a different story if they were capable of working- I honestly don't think she is-

We have just started this process for our daughter as well. I have been "warned"/ advised that we may have to apply 3 times (seems third time is the charm around here)
