Does anyone here has SO's in recovery?
Mine is working on his recovery for 1,5 years, trying a new psychotherapist now.
He relapsed hugely, cheated on me a few weeks ago.
I heard from a friend he's done that a lot in the past, and I'm really unsure whether he is relapsing (makes sense) or whether nothing has really changed? And I should run? I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but there needs to be progress.
Some things are changing, he is trying to get his own business. He has blocked FB and is allmost not whatsapping. He has completely shut himself from his outside world to focus on a few things he can handle, and keeping down the pressure. I'm the only one he is keeping in, because he knows if he doesn't he'll loose me indefinitely.

I wish I knew the answer. I only know that recovery probably never happens without a relapse? Cheating might be just too much.

Thanks.
Once, okay.
Repetitive? No .
But if he has done it a lot more, then it's not strange this is the relapse.
I just want to make sure he won't do it again, that he learnt enough this time. And the thing is... I'm not sure.
