Can anyone recommend an inpatient treatment center near Memphis TN? I have just found a DBT therapist in town.  I don't think I can keep her safe to give the therapist time to work the program.

Hello melingmom,

Welcome

And welcome to the Parenting board!

Having a child in acute distress is very frightening... .How are you and your daughter coping day-to-day? Does she have a history of suicide attempts? Tell us more about your situation, we are here to support you in this.

There is a section here on hospitalizations, RTC etc. - here is the link to it:

Hospitalization, RTCs, and IOPs

You may find information there that will help you in your own research of facilities (what to look out for, questions to ask). I am not aware of specific facilities mentioned there from TN, as this is a world-wide forum, however, there are great facilities in the US and some parents have sent their kids across the country to get the proper treatment.

Do you think that hospitalizing her in case of immediate distress while you are looking for a facility might work?

Has the new therapist seen her yet? What does he/she think?
