I'm so sorry for the troubles you have been dealing with regarding your son; it's really awful watching our children--even our adult children--self-destruct right before our very eyes and feeling like there is nothing we can do to help them. Has your son been diagnosed? Is he in any treatment at all? What are the symptoms and behaviors that are causing him (and you) so many problems?
I do have first-hand knowledge of effective Dual Diagnosis treatment for my own adult (37) son who completed a 21-day Intensive In-Patient Dual Diagnosis Program in April of 2013. This was the program that diagnosed him with BPD and saved his life with DBT Therapy and plan for his recovery. He is now 20 months clean and sober from a multi-year Heroin addiction, and is pretty much free of the BPD symptoms and behaviors that had caused him so much pain and so many troubles in his life.
