B palmer Mayo clinic (2012 ) recently did study on BPD including family situations this is probably one of the most well respected and recent looks on how families can help handle BPD

the end of the article speciffically looks at family based help I dont know how to post a link but this is probably a useful first point of reference for someone looking at current thinking regarding family based help for BPD

Thanks for posting this SlyQQ. I assume you are referring to the 2012 publication titled 'BPD for Professionals, Patients and Family Members Overview for NEA.BPD'.

It's always useful to know what (scientific) literature is out there so we can possibly benefit from it and gain a greater understanding of BPD and how to deal with this difficult disorder.

I've also found an interesting lecture he gave a few years ago:
