Over the past 2 weeks, I've gotten my DD14 into Respite Care, got her a case manager from the Office of Mental Health, found her a Peer Support Group for teens with Depression, and have her set up to get a Big Sister.

And I'm forcing myself to stand back, and allow my DD to use these tools...

That does sound like progress, Mom_on_Eggshells  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)

All of those steps really do sound positive... .

And stepping back to let her use these tools as best she can, is wise.

Being there for her if she needs positive reinforcement, or to catch her if she needs it (and I'm sure that's in your plan), is also something that could help

You're trying hard and being compassionate, and that really counts!

Hey, Mom_on_Eggshells

How is your daughter doing?

How are things working for her with her new Therapist, and all of the new programs you have gotten her into?

I'd love to hear how things are going now
