Working with the ex BP

I am separated from my ex BP and unfortunately we also work at the same place and in the same department. He is untreated, not taking medication and actively drinking. His outburst are fearful and unexpected at work. I am at a wits end and am trying to enforce proper boundaries in the ending of the relationship. I do not have the financial ability to seek therapy for myself because he has put me in a financial uproar. I need an online support group to help me reestablish myself as an individual and reinforce my self worth.

Carmen I'm glad you're here. You can vent as much as you need, ask questions, anything.  All of us are in the same boat one way or the other, so you will find us all very supportive.  If your ex is having outbursts at work then he will affect everyone's work and THAT will be noticed. The thing that helped me a lot was to realize that the outbursts are just noise coming from an angry, hurting 3 year old. They are intended to hurt you but they have no power unless You let it.
