Hi all:

I have been married to my wife for many years and never understood her erratic and often hateful behaviors until fairly recently when she was diagnosed as having BPD. Her behavior has worsened over the years and has become intolerable for me. After a great deal of effort including help from family members and therapists, my wife sees the potential benefits of and has agreed to go to a respected inpatient BPD program for a minimum of 60 days. My question is whether or not any of you have had a family member participate in a program of this type and if so, what improvements were made?  Please be as specific as possible.

I thank you in advance for your help.
