Mother's Last will and testement.

My mother was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer last year. Right after her diagnosis I made recontact with her after nine years of NC. I thought that she may have gotten better because of her pending mortality. I even moved my entire family across the country to take care of her. At the time she was playing the game better than I had ever seen before. But, After nine days, she blew up again!
During the short "good time" she promised me everything when she died. I am the only child. Now I do not know what to expect. Has anyone had any experience contesting a will. I'm not even sure that she has one. But one of her flying monkeys has told me that she said, she is leaving me $1.
I am a successful 25 year veteran of the Armed Forces and have done nothing but try to help my mother my whole life.

Sadly, life isn't always fair. And people with BPD or other acting-out, controlling disorders are too often even worse than unfair.
Of greatest priority is to make sure you accept that she is what she is (or she was what she was). Trying to shoehorn her into any other framework may just cause you continuing pain and angst that you just don't deserve. So don't let her slap you down again even after she's gone. You can't expect Closure from her or her legacy. Closure is something you'll have to Gift yourself.
Has she deceased? Did anyone have power of attorney or other paperwork granting authority? Do you know who is handling her estate? Track all events in probate court.
If it turns out there was no will or no will can be found then likely you as the only child would inherit it all. If she had a lawyer then that office may have a copy of a will that may or may not be the latest will or codicil. If she let other people have her keys then things could quickly go missing never to be seen again. Getting photos of the house's contents would surely help.
If the will was dated after her diagnosis or further along in her decline, then there might be basis to contest. However, many wills state that if the will is contested then the person gets nothing. We can't give legal advice here of course. Sounds like you need local legal advice to get a better grasp of the process and your options.

You can ask specific questions of attorneys in your area on
www.avvo.com
.
As I said in your other thread, the $1 thing sounds like she may have been talking to someone to strategize. Knowing if it was just talk or not would be good.
