I live in Perth Western Australia. Have a son (32yr old), divorced with a 2 yr old daughter. I am therefore a mother and grandmother,,, need help in the Perth area. Are there any groups that meet, or any therapists who can assist me to deal with the outbursts from my son... .whilst providing support and contact with my grand daughter.

Please help, as I have searched this website, am a member (GJ) is my member name. Posted earlier in the year, with an introduction... .but feel I need someone to 'talk to' local to my area.

Hope you can assist.

Cheers GJ

Hi

I am not in Australia but welcome - are your son or his wife diagnosed with BPD?

Are they receiving any form of treatment?

What are your hopes for your son/them/you?

Looking forward to your reply - it is tough when grandchildren are involved as I personally know.

Hi Dibdob59,

I'm sorry to hear about that things are difficult for you.

I'm UK based, but I've heard very good things about Perth based therapist - who was previously based in London. He's a highly qualified schema therapist who works with personality disorders.

If you're interested PM me and I'll pass on his contact details

Please keep posting. Our members may be able to help you with advice and support if you feel comfortable telling us a little more about your circumstances.

We're here for you

Hi Reforming

I assume your post was for the OP and not me as I was responding to GJ's message.
