Hello, Our family has suffered with my daughter's BPD and BD since she hit puberty. Before that we considered her to be a free spirit and encouraged her individuality. I also treated her teachers' concerns as their inability to fit her into their mold. Life as we envisioned was kidnapped when she entered middle school and chaos has ensued as she has held our family life hostage for over twenty years. I am so happy to find this site and have already found solace in several of your posts.

I would say puberty is about the time it began for us too, although. Can look back at her entire life in Retrospect and recognize what I know belle were precursors to BPD. I am new here too and am finding comfort in the familiar... .which is the dark and chaotic and unpredictable world that no one can understand unless they are living it. I too find comfort in everyone's words and stories.

Forgive my typos in last message, hopefully you could decipher. When I type on the iPad, translation is often worse than texting.
I hope you're continuing to find some comfort in the words of others here.

My daughter is 17, a senior in high school, and lives at home. How old is your daughter? Sounds as if perhaps a until adult?

My most recent post is entitled "supernatural" which gives a little insight into some of the things we deal with.

My daughter is 35 and just moved out of the house that she would live in forever if we would just buy it for her.
