Child Protection and Foster Care Kidnapped My Child

Child Protection and Foster Care legally kidnapped my 16 year old child before we could get her qualified help and proper diagnosis. A social worker counselor is far below what we need. We need a Doctor of Psychology! The court system is only concerned with their costs and docket. Typical systematic idiots. She had gotten worse the last six months. They took her over some swearing/name calling after she did something outrageous and also because we cancelled a psych exam per our lawyer's advice. They claimed she had suicidal ideations but emergency room doctors twice said no. Now that she has learned that term well, she uses suicide threats to manipulate when she does not get her way, and has come to believe it. We were fighting the court with an expensive attorney. After the foster parents did not want her in the house anymore she ended up in a Catholic residential home with more ill equipped counselors to help her. This is outrageous what the government has done to our child and us. Keeping us apart and driving a wedge between us at the same time God knows what negative ideas they have reinforced to her unprofessionally, especially her attorney, the judge, child protective services, Foster Care and Dept. of Human Services. They ARE NOT getting anyone the counseling the family needs and especially our child. I am not afraid of whatever we did wrong. What are the above organizations afraid of? They are arrogant cowards and afraid of the truth. If this were their child they would be screaming bloody murder for help. I am the father, we are not abusers or child beaters, we are educated and lead a clean life. But we feel powerless. Our older son is not this way at all. They want us begging on our knees for sport.

Our objective is to better understand the struggles our child faces and to learn the skills to improve our relationship and provide a supportive environment and also improve on our own emotional responses, attitudes and effectiveness as a family leaders

Welcome.  I am so sorry that your family is having this experience.  It is very frustrating to find yourself in a situation that you seem to be powerless. How long has your daughter been having these difficulties?  How are you and your wife getting the support you need?  Do you have community mental health services available to you and your son wife?  I found the book review section very helpful and informative.  I would recommend "Stop Walking on Eggshells" and "I Hate You,  Don't Leave Me".  These resources gave me a  great understanding of the family dynamics and how to stop making things worse. We can't fix everything, but we can change the way we respond.  It really helped me get over my anger and frustration and stop making my situtation with my daughter worse.  Please know we are all hear to listen and offer our advice.
