I hate losing good friends, to death, relocation, or for any other reason. Is that maybe the same reasons why pwBPD hate losing "supply".

Hey FallBackMonster,
No, in my view their fear of abandonment is a different kettle of fish from the normal grief we all experience in the event of death of, or separation from, family and close friends.

40 views one reply. Wow! Must not be an important topic. However, thank you. Can you elaborate?
When I lose a partner, close friend or someone in my life died, it knocks me off of my center. Even a bad break up where someone was disloyal, I no longer want or need that person to be a part of my life. But I may still keep in touch now and then, I guess , until I no longer see a need for the involvement . That's why I wonder . I don't think I'm the only non that feels that way. & Do you see the similarities?

Hello again, FBM,
Sure, in my view it's normal to be temporarily knocked off one's center after the loss of a loved one or close friend.
Their fear of abandonment, however, in my view, is a pervasive condition for a pwBPD rather than a temporary reaction to loss. Maybe some of the feelings are similar, though, as you suggest.
