We recently completed evaluation of D1 and D2. D1 recently turned 18 yrs old.  Diagnosis = BPD and RAD (We adopted internationally when she was 9 mos.)  D2 is 15 yrs old, adopted at 18 mos., and recently diagnosed with auditory processing disorder.

Our immediate family consists of dad, mom (me), D1 and D2.  Dad has suffered from back problems and severe pain for 20 years with surgery finally scheduled in 2 weeks.  I have dealt with depression for 25+ years.

We are constantly experiencing a spinning roller coaster that jams up/crashes regularly, manages to get back on track to go through the same cycle again.

I feel the need to stop at these basic details, because if I went on from here, it would be hard to believe.

Hi PP,

Welcome and hello  Smiling (click to insert in post)

That's a lot to deal with in one family, I'm so sorry. People here are hard to shock, sadly. How do you feel about the BPD diagnosis? Is your D18 accepting the diagnosis? What are some of the behaviors and traits most challenging for her, and for you and the family? Is she willing to try treatment?

Glad you found the site. It really can help to post, when you are ready to share more details of your story.
