My 17 year old BPD DD is a runaway drug addict now. It all started about 2 months ago. Every day I just pray she stays alive and we can find her and get her into safety. She just wants to get out of her current situation and come home for Christmas, but she is being kept at an address unknown to me against her will. She is only able to sneak internet device use minimally. We've been stuck in a run/return cycle since before Thanksgiving. Police just don't seem to have the urgency I do that she could die from a drug overdose any day now. Mornings are remorseful and loving, evenings hateful and desperate to leave. That's drugs plus mood disorder equals hell. She desperately doesn't want us to send her away again. I don't either, but when she is home it has become intolerable and we can't seem to keep her here for more than a half of a day and she is out her bedroom window or leaves when I finally sleep. I have a younger child who just wants her to go away again. That breaks my heart, but i have to protect my youngest at all costs. Can anyone relate to our crazy situation?

Hi DisneyMom,
It is very sad that it has come to this. How do you know your daughter is being kept against her will there, did she tell you this?
Considering everything that's going on, it does seem advisable to involve the police as you have. It is unfortunate though that the police so far seem to lack urgency as far as you can tell. Are the police aware that you believe your daughter is being held somewhere against her will?
I gather from your previous posts that your daughter had been in a RTC when she was about 14 and had been living at home for the last 3 years now. The conditions in her bedroom were not that great though and she was clearly and unfortunately still struggling with certain issues. You say your daughter is an runaway drug addict now and that this all started about 2 months ago. Was that the first time she started using drugs or has she done that before?
Take care as you try to cope with this difficult situation
