Going to In-Patient

My somewhat diagnosed wife is going to an in-patient treatment. I say somewhat diagnosed because she has a diagnosis for personality disorder... .but something gets lost in the Czech translation. Beginning May 4th she will go to a psychiatric hospital for in-patient therapy... .four days there... .three days home... .for five weeks. I'm hopeful... .we also start couples counseling at the end of May... .so I'm hopeful in that regards as well. I know it's still a long rough road... .but I'm hopeful... .

Hi daverisk,
I'm glad to hear your wife is getting the help that she needs, I can understand the anxiety with hoping that the outcome is going to be a positive one where she's going to overcome her mental illness. You're also doing couples counselling, so she's getting help, you're getting help together, do you have something set up for support just for you for the next 5 weeks or so?

Mutt,
Thanks for asking about me... .I left that out... .I'm seeing a counselor every other week... .I can also... .in a pinch... .contact my sister who is a psychologist... .I have two friends here who know the whole story who I can simply vent to... .I also have found a clergyman of my religious background who speaks English... .I meet with him on Monday... .this will assist my spiritual needs.
Because my wife is understandably not interested in people knowing that she's going to a mental hospital we will need to construct some type of cover story as to why she is gone for four days and home for three. I'll need someone to collect the children after school until I can get home from work. We have two neighbors who will help with this but who can't know the reason the wife is gone. We'll either not explain the situation at all or call it some type of work-related school or an extended spa treatment.
