Hello,
New on here as I'm trying to help my girls (early 20s) deal with Mother's Day when their mom is completely out of their life, by their choice. I'm also burdened as I'm discovering, as I go back over memories, all the lies. I feel sometimes like I was in the Truman show but it's over and I'm wandering, realizing all the stories I thought were true over the years were fabrications, illusions. I should have been seeking counseling myself and sending my kids to it but I'm not sure they'd have gone. Now I think they're open to it. Just checking this out basicallly.

Hi Riley2011, and welcome to BPD Family . It sounds like a painful day for you and your daughters. My heart goes out to them. What led to them making this decision? Is this the first Mother’s Day without her in your lives? Tell us more when you’re ready and we can help support you. It’s good that you’ve reached out. Sharing the burden on here has helped me so much as did counselling. You're on the right track.

Hi Riley2011,
I'd like to join
Larmoyant in welcoming you to the community. I can understand the burden of unraveling the illusions from the truth of your experience. I'm sorry that your girls don't have their mother in their lives. That must be difficult for them on Mother's day.
When you can, tell us more of your story. You've found a great place for support and understanding.
