Life sure loves to pull the rug out from under you. My dd had a whole week of seemingly better days. Last night I was awakened by my phone at 12:30 by the school counselor... A boy, the son of a teacher just to make it better, that she was texting got a picture of her in the tub with a knife. She was sitting on the house phone then put the receiver all the way in her mouth. She had a friend over. She was so disassociated I didn't even try to talk to her just put her to bed. I mean there was nobody home. Today is Sr. Park day. She was angry and very and full of suicidal threats but wanted to go. She says people make her come back. She kept saying between angry outbursts ( not like her) that she was drowning. I eventually drove her to the state park and am waiting way down the road to pick her up when she texts she is ready. I really didn't want her to go ( and neither did the school). Not letting her drive made her furious but I didn't feel safe letting her do that. Her counseling appointment (she wanted me to sit in) was pointless. She suggested sleep and exercise. We've more than covered that. Her suggestions for me when dd disassociates were to keep her safe. Sorry this is rambling. It breaks your heart everytine you get a pleasant stretch and then it blows up.

Hi 7babies
I'm sorry you've had a setback. Those stretches of calm surely are wonderful and they provide you and her some respite. She's learning how it feels for those short periods.
How did the senior park day go?
