So, yesterday was my temporary order hearing. Ended up getting 43% time and joint custody of my son. I'm overall very happy with the outcome as it was two evenings different than the very first schedule I tried to make with her.

We did agree to a guardian ad lietem, and I think I just want to skip over that part. I want to see if our lawyers can try to come to an agreement without needing to use the GAL. I don't think she really wants to spend that money at this point.

So my thoughts, currently she gets Monday, Tuesday, I get Wednesday, Thursday, and every other weekend with the end of my weekend being 5pm on Sunday. (So at this point she can never have a full weekend away and use her Monday off to have 3 day weekends) I want to offer her to not adjust the current child support agreement (except to remove daycare from that payment, and to have it separate those costs should go down soon). If I can get her to agree to just one of those Sunday's (with the best possible outcome being both) to a dropoff at daycare I think we could get this BS finalized.

I agree, an exchange on Sundays would require an in-person exchange where confrontations and conflict are a heightened risk.  When we moved to the 2-2-3 schedule, our weekends had been and remained from Fri 6 pm to Monday 6 pm a full 72 hours, probably the longest a weekend can be.  For children in school, the school or daycare is an optimal exchange place, one parent drops off, the other parent picks up later.

Many holidays are observed on Mondays.  MLK Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day.  Do you have that in the parenting schedule?  So have the order at least let you keep your son through Sunday night if you also get a Monday holiday.  It would be ridiculous to have a return Sunday 5 pm then your holiday time start later that evening or Monday morning.

We haven't made it to holidays yet. I'm sure that's pretty standard jargon here, child support was calculated by worksheet.

Another fear of mine is being discussed, where she and the replacement are talking of moving away from here after they have a child together. (All this and the dust hasn't even settled yet). This is exactly how she and I started. It's ridiculous to think she'll be able to make this one with
