Explosive Anger

I just figured it out. My daughter was doing good no big explosions just mild ones. Then all of a sudden about 2 weeks ago all hell has broke loose. The exact same time I decided to go on vacation. My other daughter who is a therapist said to me she does this ever time you get ready to go on a vacation. I said exactly, thinking in my mind she is being that pain in the @ss like she always is... always having to cause trouble. A light went off while I was reading Stop walking on egg shells... one of the biggest fears a borderline person has is abandament... .duh I'm leaving her if only for a couple of weeks... im her co.dependant. I finally understand a small peace of what she is thinking. I told my other daughter this and she said I have been telling you this was most likely the reason, I was so upset at my DBD's behavior i didn't see what she ment only that yes she does this every time I go somewhere and it's getting old. I am gonna try and work on making her feel comfortable that I'm leaving. If anyone has any suggestions I'm open to them. I feel like I was the one with a break threw. I'm going to keep arming myself with knowledge and hope to better understand her.

Hi Worried Mom23
I can sense your relief in your post, a break through
feels so good doesn't it!
I thought this maybe helpful
What is fear of abandonment
Fear of abandonment is pervasive, separation anxiety is episodic.
Validate her feelings, do you think your DD is aware her anger maybe caused by your upcoming departure, is it something you think she maybe able to share with you?
