Hi everyone-My daughter (16) was diagnosed with BPD almost three years ago. Since then, I've made a point to learn as much as I can to not only help her, but myself. It can be SO difficult at times. One thing I was adamant about was getting her the help she needed now- not when she's 18. The psychiatric community is hesitant to diagnose BPD until the person is 18. The Global Alliance for the Prevention and Early Intervention of BPD (GAP) is hoping to change that. They are sponsoring a one-day conference in Atlanta on Saturday, September 16. Here is a link with the information. It's sponsored by the National Education Alliance for BPD and the featured speaker is NEABPD founder, Dr. Perry Hoffman. It's going to be a great event with lots of important information!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! Yes, I will be in attendance and volunteering at the event. We are working on finding someone to stream it live on you tube. I will definitely post how to tune in when I know more!
