I am new to this community. I hope that shared experience and collective wisdom will help.
 I set limits with my 30+ daughter resulting in sporadic communication over the past four years. She lives interstate. She is married and after much difficulty is pregnant. Her partner also has emotional challenges. The tirades by text message have recommended. This morning she called me in a distressed state from a hospital. She said her husband had hurt her and she was in pain and bleeding. A few hours later she said she was fine and had no choice but to return to him. I am concerned for them.

Our objective is to better understand the struggles our child faces and to learn the skills to improve our relationship and provide a supportive environment and also improve on our own emotional responses, attitudes and effectiveness as a family leaders

No wonder you're concerned and getting a text from your daughter about being hurt is very worrisome.

I think there was predictive text in your post and I'm guessing that the number of text messages from your daughter have increased (not "recommended"?)

You've mentioned tirades - are these against you or her husband? Has she talked about being hurt by him before?

I'm sorry for the questions, I'm just trying to get a better understanding of what's going on. I hope you've heard from her since she got home. It sounds like there's a lot going on with them. At this point in time I guess it's a matter of knowing as best you can what the facts are regarding her pregnancy.
