She is pushing the issue of alcohol and to me I feel that she should not.  But my husband feels that she can only when she is with us.  I think with her meds she should not.

Thy is all just overwhelming to me.  I am one the lack of sleep because of all of this .

I am thinking of trying to get guardianship do to the fact with other mental health issues that would be best.   She has major depression disorder with psychotic episode , with undefined  post traumatic disorder.

What do think?

Hi Headandsoul,

It's so worrisome when our loved ones have a mental illness and a substance addiction at the same time

How old is your daughter? Does she have BPD in addition to PTSD and depression with psychosis?

I'm not familiar with what kinds of advantages there are with guardianship... .have you talked to someone who can walk you through the pros and cons? Does your daughter know that you are considering this as an option?

I know these issues can feel so overwhelming, Headandsoul. We're here to walk with you as you sort through your options and gain some clarity.
