There are two things I'm seeing that may indicate a small breakthrough. (Although I do have my fingers crossed... .

(1.  My granddaughter has resumed her therapy and hasn't had a major BPD meltdown in seven days

(2.  She also has had a hearing test which indicated moderate hearing impairment.  We also found that Medicaid will pay for free hearing aids for children under the age of 21 so that is what her dad is pursuing.  This could help with her problem of misunderstanding what is being said and will hopefully will give her better feedback when she is talking in a very loud voice and overriding others' conversations.

There are a number of areas we are still working on, such as minding her own business, having to have the last word and on and on.  But it's nice to have something positive for a change.

That IS good news, Holvie! These kinds of breakthroughs, however small they seem at the time, are so welcome, aren't they?

Does her therapy include DBT by chance?
