Hi Ycr50, welcome to this sight. I am also a newbe, just started two weeks ago. How old is your D? My is 35. She has other diagnosis too but I have known since she was little that there was more than just what I was being told. Then when I went back to college to get my degree in chemical dependency counseling I figured out there was a name for her condition. It would be nice to hear from you how that felt when you found out. I know for me it was a relief to know that she wasn't just yanking my chain with the rages, manipulation and physical aliments. Then reality set in and I was overwhelmed by the thought of having to take care of her the rest of her life and how was I going to learn to interact with her. I'm sorry that all sounds so hard but, let me assure there is always hope for both of you and learning for you. Information has really gotten better in the last 10 years.
Take heart! Keep posting this place has been such an oasis for me. Right now it's the only place I have for support and validation. When ever you're ready to share I'd love to hear you.  Bluek9
