I’ve posted on here a few times. My husband (pwBPD) left us 2 months ago. A lot of drama surrounded his departure. It was probably the lowest I’ve ever been. I turned to this site and started reading. I also read about codependent relationships, boundary setting, and went to my own therapy. The thing that sticks out for me is “stop making this worse before you can start making it better”. I have been focusing on myself and my son since my husband left. I feel much better, our house is more peaceful, I feel like myself again. My husband contacted me and wants us to be together again. It’s only because I followed the advice on here that I feel strong enough to deal with this. I don’t know what our outcome will be, but because I have had space and taken a good look at what my 50% was, the way I was and wasn’t setting boundaries, and getting back to focusing on myself and my son, I feel like moving forward we can make some wise minded decisions about our relationship. There is hope for all of us, and the advice on here is very good.

Well on behalf of everyone here - You're Welcome!

Having tools to help you deal with life is great. But please remember that even if you apply the tools perfectly, there still may be times when things get bad. This is not to get you down - moreso to say that at those times, be good to yourself. Know that you (and he) are doing the best you can.

Congratulations RollerMom75!

Finding peace within yourself is what can help you succeed in your relationship or out of your relationship. What in particular from this site helped you begin looking at your side of things?

As you go forward, stick around and help others who are at the same place you were when you started out here.
