I am new on these forms and this is a very different prospective, i have never thought of it like that , i thought maybe my mother loves me so much that she doesnt want me away from her. but this is a whole new world for me. its been three years now that i have been diagnosed with BPD and coming from a third world country i have been suffering from it for a long long time, my mother used to say and i quote " you are just over sensitive" she still doesn't think that BPD is a real problem and this hurts the most.

wheelie,
I'm glad you found this site! It's been really helpful to so many of us!
It must be difficult feeling that your mother doesn't understand what you are going through. Speaking from a mother's viewpoint, it was very hard for me to watch my daughter go through anxiety, depression, and now a BPD traits diagnosis. I just wanted her to feel happy and safe. I didn't want her to have something that I couldn't fix. She is also sensitive, and internalized her feelings rather than raging.
I'm not sure what you are experiencing. Feel free to share more when you are ready. We will understand. You're not alone.

Hi wheelie
Thank you for sharing here! It must have been very hard not to have any framework to handle what you were going through.
Have you been able to find help since you were diagnosed? Many resources are available, I found them little by little. Some are here on this site, also the books and videos by Marsha Lineham I found very useful. Do you do much reading?
I hope you are finding peace and warmth in your journey,
(by the way I only check on here every so often, so if I don't reply its probably just because I haven't been checking in. I think your perspective will be incredibly valuable for many parents on here, I know when my dd's shared their experience with me, it really gave me so much more insight on why things had happened as they did)
