This afternoon I spent two hours watching two excellent Mclean Hospital webinars recognising much is relevant to conversations we have here. The first webinar is a presentation followed by questions, the second is due to demand a further hour of Q&A.  From time to time I get bogged down in my own thinking and approach, that’s fine it’s important to unwrap my own situation and find things that work for me. ‘BPD’ is so broad and this is questioned how helpful the ‘umbrella’ is?  Palmer also says NO one knows the cause, this is an important and I think a helpful point for us parents, when I read the back cover of Stop Walking on Egg Shells three years ago, there were 3 questions, if I answered yes my DD may have BPD, my answers were no, no, no.

I want to share this with you as I think there is a take away for many of us, there is hope in every situation, we can unlock the key.

My take away is

Mindset and meaning and purpose, really spoke to my situation.

Also, our children can make progress at any time in their life, like all people do, we see that here through our learning, how we can build our child’s trust by changing our approach, adopting the tools and lessons, way we communicate, we can empower them to find their way.

It’s Friday evening where I am, so that’s my take away, for now I’m cooking dinner. Being cool (click to insert in post)

What's your take away from these great webinars?

Watching it now, Wendy!  Thank you for the links - great information!  And hope! The statistics for remission and recovery are actually very good.

Thank you, WD.  Hope you have a great weekend.  MM
