She is in the hospital now for 3 weeks bc suicide attempt. a week ago she is saying not to have suicidal adieation . Now the insurance said she needs out of the hospital bc she is not suicidal anymore. She just had an intake by a couple of treatment centers and they said that she is acute patient according to the BPD residencials program and will not accept her right now., they say she needs more days in the hospital until they can accept her. Any feedback regarding finding a transitional center where they can keep her safe if the hospital can't keep her anymore bc of the insurance issues? Right now, my love one has a sitter there at the hospital because she is high risk patient:ex.: she does not respect bounderies, rules; she have been found hiding her medications so she can gather then and take them all at once... . please help. If she comes home, she will go back to drinking, cutting, burning, eating only trash food, self destruction you name it, neglecting her dbt therapy.

Hi rruriru
It is horrible when your child has suicidal tendencies and in this case actually makes a suicide attempt. Is this the first time she has done anything like this? I did see you mention her cutting and burning, how long has she been doing that?
It is quite frustrating that you are having these issues with the insurance now, it is important that your daughter gets the right help.
Was she diagnosed as BPD and bipolar just now in the hospital or was she also already diagnosed before that?
Take care
