hi Isc1006, and
a lot of the tools that we teach here are either DBT based, CBT based, or both. learning them can definitely give us an edge when it comes to relating to our children.
how does your daughter feel about starting DBT? how are you feeling about it? when was she diagnosed?

Hello Isc1006
I just wanted to drop by and welcome you here. Although I’ve no experience with DBT (my uBPD son is in denial), there are lots of parents here who have experience of DBT, I’m sure you will get one or two of them drop by. DBT is the preferred treatment for BPD and there are plenty of success stories, and as
once removed
says, a lot of the tools here are DBT based. I can also recommend a book I have read called The Buddha and the Borderline by Kiera van Gelder, it tells of her recovery from BPD using DBT and Buddhism.

Hi
Isc1006
Welcome, yes my now 30 year old daughter diagnosed in 2015 had 14 months, weekly out patient DBT, group skills and therapy in 2016/17. She's presently on a 20 week refresher with a charitable organisation to keep up her skills, she advocates the value of DBT to others setting out. Has your daughter engaged with her previous treatment?
Glad you found us Isc1006.
