And i feel as though I can trust my actions.
Now.
Over the summer I dated a bit, and a month ago I met someone at the park, he turns out to be the stbx of an acquaintance... .they have been sep for 5 yrs, and just now filing divorce.   He and i hit it off, and i was able to say, as soon as your divorce is final, maybe we could get together again and see what develops.?

I was strong around that interaction and it felt right.   I feel like am getting some good choices going.  It gives me self esteem.

Thank you everyone,

j

Awesome, Juju, that you got advice from an attorney and will be able to keep your house and get a fresh start! I'm so glad that you're taking good care of your self!

Yes, thank you!

I nvr even thought about that as a possibility... .

I feel like there is a future for me.

Asked the atty, what will be the quickest way.   I have been living this for so long.

It was great to get feedback, find out I am not alone... .

There was a lot of shame in my space.

As for shame, I understand because I felt that for staying with my first husband, who was very abusive. But there’s no point in beating yourself up. We all make decisions we later regret. It’s good to regroup and look forward toward a positive future.

so, a wrinkle, in my bankruptcy, if I keep our new vehicle, the amt of loan can be decreased, and there could be negotiation, around payments, etc, like cutting them in half.

I don't know what to do.

What stood out in your latest post was "our new vehicle" and I wonder if you were to keep it at a reduced loan, would he still feel entitled to use it at times?

The goal is to get you off the loans.  The new information is not a "wrinkle"... it's a distraction from your goal.

Keep you eye on the prize.  Get off loans and disentangle.

Yes Cat.

The way I look at it, if I refinance it the bk, I will be on the loan.

Am going to pray about it.

Help me understand even the briefest consideration of keeping your name involved in loans... .when the entire purpose of these actions was to get your name off the loans.

What is there to think and or pray about?

f.

at this rate, the vehicle may go repo.  If that happens, I think it would be better than a b.k... .both instances, credit takes a hit.  Also, I have a situation in my life, that i really dont want to expose to bk... that's all I am at liberty to say... .

Am looking at credit counseling... .

Have been all over the place.   With this.

Take good care.
