So... .training missions came up on short notice all the time.  So if you liked to head out on adventures, you could usually go.

Well... some guys wanted to go to Houston... so I hoped in.  We flew into Ellington Field.  We are chatting up the fuel guys, trying to figure out where we should go "out in town" and they told us to head to the astrodome for BBQ.

Anyway... .we spent a day eating BBQ.  Man... .that was good stuff.

Reminds me of all the endless random "ride-about's" we used to take out in Yuma whilst on "det" (on no-fly daze)... .looking for the oldest, greasiest, and nastiest taco stand we could find  

... .in a "rental" we bagged from the Officers of course
