I’m lost, my 17 year old is in treatment, but she hates me, wants to put a restraining order against me, calls me terrible names, she went willingly , but one week in she wanted out, she has told  terrible lies, I don’t want to give up on her but I’m so lost I don’t know what to do.  Paragraph header  (click to insert in post)

Hi Jean,

I'm sorry you're in so much pain. It's devastating to lose our relationships with our kids.

Does she normally live with you? What precipitated treatment?  If you can tell us more about your story and what you need from us we can better help you.

We are here for you, you are not alone.

Hi Jean1021 and welcome

I can feel your pain, as Hyacinth Bucket says, it is devastating when our relationships with our children don’t work out the way that we had hoped for.

I take it from what you wrote that your daughter is still in treatment despite her wanting out. Is that correct? How long is your daughter meant to be in treatment?

Of course you don’t want to give up on your daughter, you love her and you want what’s best for her, it’s just that right now you are feeling lost, not sure what to do for the best. You are in the right place here, there is so much to learn and with the support of the parents here I am sure that you will benefit greatly x
