The "men" using the term loosely robbed my son at gunpoint in his apartment  two weeks ago returned last night. My son is again miraculously unharmed. Police were called this time and it looks like an arrest will soon be made. DS is sleeping in our house for now. He cannot move in though. That remains a boundary. If you pray please pray he finds a safe place to live soon.

Hi FHL

I'm so sorry, after all you've been through. I'm glad your son was not harmed. With the police called will your son be charged, cautioned for dealing? Perhaps this second incident will help him move on from where he is living and find a place. He has to do it.

Hugs to you

No my son is not being charged. I don't know if this is his wake up call or not but I do know I am done having my life disrupted due to the consequences of his bad choices. Next time he gets in trouble because of his CHOSEN life style he will have to deal with it on his own. I am done.

It is his chosen life style.

Thanks for the parents bill of rights. DS is currently angry at us because we won't let him move back in with us. I guess he is going to just stay mad because we are not moving that boundary. Just the thought of him in our home with the constant drama and drug dealing out of our basement terrifies me. He is with some of his friends now. Hopefully they can help him to see reason.

Hi FHLKC

I’m sure he understands the reason for the boundary as will his friends. His emotions hopefully will soon follow as he gets used to his new situation. I was never good at being assertive in the right way and I really admire how you’ve gone about setting this important boundary.

You’re protecting yourself and allowing your son the dignity to grow by solving his own problems. He’ll respect you for it even though it’s not what he think he needs right now. He’s not thinking straight but you clearly are. Hats off to you.

Thanks WD. The main perpetrator was just arrested this morning so I am breathing a little easier today.
