Hi, I am new here.  I too, have BPD, I am sure all of my sisters have it and now I am pretty sure my daughter has it as well and I think my son!  It is so difficult at times! I can have such a toxic relationships, my sister and I have not spoken in 5 years.  I see it in my daughter and I just get so worried.  In the past, I have come right out and told her she has the same thing as me and that she needs to see a psychiatrist.  It is nice to be here, to hear all you others have to say, thank you.

Welcome!  Welcome new member (click to insert in post)

You are in a very knowledgeable, supportive place to start to make sense of it all.  It is not uncommon for more than one family member to be affected, which is the case in my family, it is scary to see the effects in so many family members.

What is nice about this site is there are many resources. if you want to learn more about diagnosis, treatment, tools to support, ect.  A good place to start is with the post pinned at the top of this page. Some of those tools have the potential to help stabilize things, not make them worse and maybe even improve!.

If you want to talk to people you can post here and read other parents experience, nice to not feel alone.

Can you tell us anything more you are comfortable sharing about your kids and you? Like how old they are? Do they live with you? Is anyone diagnosed, ect

So glad you are here

Hi Lovelyewe

I would like to join Dharmagate in welcoming you here.

It certainly does sound difficult, thinking that your sisters, your son and daughter all have BPD as well as you having it yourself. Were you diagnosed with it? Have you had any treatment?

How are you coping Lovelyewe?

I’m sorry to hear that you and your sister have not spoken in 5 years, do you worry that this might happen between you and your daughter?

I am glad that you are pleased to be here, have you had chance to take a look at other people’s posts? We all learn a lot from each other and we all support each other. This is a good place to be
