My 16 year old step child had BPD and is a train wreck. Doesn't believe she has any problem and constantly blames others for her behaviour.  She lies literally all the time about pretty much everything.  She's now lying about what her therapist and psychiatrist say in session with her.

Our objective is to better understand the struggles our child faces and to learn the skills to improve our relationship and provide a supportive environment and also improve on our own emotional responses, attitudes and effectiveness as a family leaders

Hello WitsEnd
Welcome to the group
I am glad you joined us. I am also sorry for what you are going through with your stepdaughter. Step parenting is hard enough as it is. Put BPD in the mix and it must be super hard. But do not lose hope
Things can get better. We are all working on improving our relationships with our children by learning communication skills
Many of us have found improvement
You can too. Please tell us more about your stepdaughter, whatever you are comfortable sharing. Has she been diagnosed? What behaviors besides lying led up to her being in therapy ? What are your major concerns at this time? We are all here for you.
Hugs
