I've been married for more than a decade. We stopped spending Christmas together a long time ago. He grew up in a different faith. You know the most he does on ordinary family days is just show up. There's no forethought or attention or effort. I think I'm just feeling like how come I tolerate this? Divorce is such a crappy alternative that's why.

Hi innerlight,

Virtual hug (click to insert in post)  Virtual hug (click to insert in post)  Virtual hug (click to insert in post)

Can you expand on what's going on?  It sounds like you are putting a lot of effort into the holidays, with little help, or interest from your husband?  Is that right?

Maybe take some time just for you, the holidays are often stressful for many of us and it sure doesn't help when you are doing a lot of the work.  What is something nice you can do for you?
